Small Pieces of Being

One day a wolf came.
Two – many people turned blind eyes.
Three eyes total if you count intuition.
Fore Score and Forever are meaningless taken out of context.
Five boys meant more than
Six days of penance would cure.
Seven is the number assigned to God>
Eight has no special meaning, except now-and-then it’s
added to One and becomes Nine – One less than
Ten. And then, Ten is just beginning again!
